Fire

On March 18, 2026, a fire started in the wiring of the Pastor’s office at the south end of the church building. First responders were on the scene within minutes, including law enforcement and firefighters from three agencies. We cannot thank them enough for all their hard work on that day.

We since have learned and watched how God has moved in this entire situation. We are hoping to use this page to keep friends and family up to date on the progress of our church being rebuilt. We know that God is able to rebuild the church building. Many people have already donated to our building fund. The church has also received many donated items help with the supplies lost. As a church body, we only want to abide by the leading of the Lord in our endeavor to put our building back where God would have it.

We will try to keep this page updated with new and ongoing pictures. To this point, everything has been inventoried that was not completely destroyed. Electrical, plumbing, and HVAC will need reviewed and the local building inspector has been inside to view the damages. At this time, the church is being taken down to the studs and then it will be reassessed to see what can be salvaged. We are working with the mitigation team on new building plans since the entire building will need to be updated to abide by ADA guidelines, up to date electrical, among other things.

Mold growth started right away and this is just a small idea of what a fire can cause.

Several rooms are now gutted down to the studs.

We are finding several places where different things were there in prior years. This at some point was a window.

Once they removed all the items from the auditorium, we were able to walk through and see more of the damage the building received.

We will continue to update this page with further pictures and items of importance.

We have also been asked for further ways to donate or purchase items required to rebuild or re-supply our church. We will update this page specifically in the near future with links to these options.

We again want to give thanks to God for his safety throughout this time. We also want to thank our community and all involved with the rebuilding of our church.
